Daniel Fessel (German, 1599-1676) was a Lutheran who wrote several religious texts throughout the 17th century, including this volume of two bound books of bible commentary. The half title manuscript seems to suggest the author gave the book to a library as a gift.

Boards with scuffs and small faint stains, typical discoloration and minor edgewear, sticker remains on tail of spine; worming at endpapers and paste-downs with tear at rear; pages toned, with foxing, and infrequent light grime or stain; overall crisp, clean, and sturdy; a very good copy.
