Late 18th or early 19th century, ebonized veneer with tortoiseshell, engraved silver, and gold-toned inlay, the lid featuring a pastoral image of a figure playing a harp surrounded by animals within a vignette, the base with conforming foliate inlay, raised on four silver half ball feet, the domed hinged lid opens to reveal a lined interior, unmarked, not retaining key.
