William George Randall, a native of Burke County, NC, and graduate of the University of North Carolina, was an artist and portrait painter. He studied at the National Academy of Design in New York and maintained a studio in the Corcoran Building in Washington, D.C. for a short time. He traveled throughout the US and France, but spent the majority of his life in NC.
