Pu Tai pattern in vivid polychrome enamels, the gilt border painted with a slim iron red edging. Not marked.

From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C. Pu-tai was a Buddhist monk who lived in the Tang dynasty. His image as a jovial character was adopted in Chinese art, then copied by Worcester from the Chinese.
