Renaissance Revival Carved Oak Armchair

Late 19th century, in the Italian manner, straight crest rail with over upholstered back and seat, scrolled arms with acanthus leaf and scale carvings terminating in masks, carved seat rail, acanthus leaf and scrolled capital carved legs with shaped stretcher and central finial.

Nicely carved with an attractive old patina.

Fading and wear to upholstery and missing back panel; some chipping to scrolled capitals of legs; some joint separation at stretcher (but stable).
