Charles Myron Clark was born in New York but spent much of his life in Massachusetts. At the time of his marriage, in 1891, he was head clerk of the Melville Gardens in Hingham, Massachusetts. In the 1900 census, his occupation is listed as "Artist."

Clark is best known as a marine painter, with several of his paintings in the collection of the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts.
