Oregon Inlet area, North Carolina, circa 1900, carved and painted wood, published on pg. 165 of Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Andresen and Philip Harvey.

Length 10.75 in.

This unknown yellowlegs has a very upright plump body with an oak bill inserted through the head. It was collected in Nags Head and was reportedly hunted in the Oregon Inlet area, which was well known for its shorebird hunting around the turn of the century.
