This 10.5 in. long Timothy Bowden double iron wire dowitcher was one of the shorebird decoys that Walter Jones, a prominent Knotts Island farmer bought from Timothy in 1913. They were carved from 1.5 inch boards and tapered down slight from back to breast. This decoy represents some of the oldest known shorebird decoys from North Carolina.
