Margaret Gerding is a contemporary plein-air landscape painter living in Kennebunkport, Maine. She received her BFA from the University of Massachusetts: Dartmouth. She furthered her training at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts, the Worcester Art Museum and a summer workshop with Wolf Kahn at Bennington College in Vermont.

Gerding is drawn to unspoiled landscapes. She finds peace and inspiration in nature. Each painting represents a single moment in time, which she strives to capture and share with those viewing her paintings. She is represented by numerous galleries including Edgewater Gallery, Arden Gallery and Left Bank Gallery.
