Crowell is known as one of the greatest decoy makers and bird carvers of all time. He fulfilled a large order of cork bodied decoys to the Swan Island Club around 1915. This goose was made for Boston resident Elisha Flagg (1865-1948). Elisha was a member of Swan Island 1907 until he resigned in 1917.

Old gunning paint, age check in the bottom, tight checks in the head and body, head is slightly loose.
