An early pattern circa 1800, rimmed earthenware plate, transfer printed in a blue chinoiserie design. The pattern name, Buddleia, was adopted because of the resemblance of the tree by the bridge to the Buddeia lindleyana. Not signed.

Roughness to the circumference of the edge; several small edge hairlines; branching through hairline.
