Qing dynasty (1644-1912), porcelain hand painted in a piled underglaze blue with a continuous landscape of scholars at leisure playing games, attendants with musical instruments, wine jars and tea cups and flowers arrive on both sides, another scene on the reverse side of a goddess with an offering bowl, her robes and her attendants robes float to the sides, a lotus blossom band borders below the rim, the rim with four shaped reserves populated by Buddhist treasure motifs surrounded by a lattice ground, underside of jardiniere is unglazed, comes together with a beautifully carved wooden stand.

From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C. Firing kiln defects and pitting to interior; some scattered minor scratches; a large area of restoration to exterior; stand with a few stress cracks and repairs.
