Attributed to Fredericksburg, possibly workshop of Jame Allen, circa 1770-80, spruce secondary, stiles and crest rail with molded edge, distinctive relief carved upper crest rail with scrolling and rosettes, pierced intertwined back splat set within a molded shoe, slip seat, flush seat rail, molded straight front legs with inside chamfer, down-swept rear legs, flush stretcher base.

38 x 21 x 19.5 in., seat height 17 in.
