Attributed to Tidewater region, circa 1740-50, shaped crest, shaped vasiform back-splat set within a shaped shoe, slip seat, flush molded seat rail, shaped skirt the center with drop pendant, front cabriole legs with carved interior knee, drake foot, chamfered down-swept rear legs, distinctive shaped stretcher base.

40 x 21 x 19 in., seat height 17.5 in.

Break and repair at top of splat at crest rail; crack and repair to left side of stretcher; seat stretcher is oak and is possibly original.
