Circa 1760, a highly developed example featuring a robust shaped crest rail with triple shell, vasiform back splat with carved scrolled ears and flanked by fluted stiles, molded shoe, slip seat, flush molded seat rails with through mortise and tenon joint at the rear, front skirt with central carved shell, front cabriole legs with acanthus carved knee, ball and claw feet with talons, chamfered down-swept rear legs.

Crack and repair to the left ear by stile joint; tight shrinkage crack at central crest below shell; shrinkage crack to the left and right side seat rails; crack and repair to front right corner of seat rail; yellow pine slip seat is old and appears original; rear brace blocks are later.
