Lucie Louise de Liniers, née Courbot, was born in Paris on October 17, 1864. One of her early teachers was the French born animal, battle, and genre painter, John Lewis Brown. She exhibited her work in the Paris Salons beginning in 1889, and was awarded a silver medal in the 1921 salon. Louise married the Vicomte Marie Louis Alexis Joseph de Liniers on April 23, 1901.
