From a longtime North Carolina collector Arion Press's 44th publication was this limited edition of the famous culinary book,
The Physiology of Taste by Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, with a translation from the original French by M. F. K. Fisher and illustrations by well-known American artist Wayne Thiebaud (1920-2021). Brillat-Savarin's text discusses everything food related, such as the effects of coffee, ancient feasts, recipes, and restaurants; it continues to be celebrated and relatable today.
Near fine boards; nearly pristine interior with light offsetting on the title page and one page with a minor mark; very good slipcase with light edge fraying, subtle stains, and faint marks.
