Jennings became interest in decoys during the mid 1960s when he visited Charles Birdsall in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He and his wife raised their family on a 1000 acre farm and he gained inspiration from the wildlife which frequented the area. Cigar Daisy and David Rhodes were significant influences yet he created a style of his own. This split tail animated curlew is a master work as it exhibits exceptional paint and form.
