Attributed to Fredericksburg, 19th century, the first a ladder back finial post armchair with distinctive double ring turned arms, splint seat, stretcher base, tapered legs (11.5 x 7 x 6 in.); the second a ladder back finial post rocking chair again with distinctive ring turned arms, splint seat, stretcher base, shaped rockers (9.5 x 6 x 8.5 in.); the third a shaped ladder back side chair with notched top crest rail, splint seat, stretcher base, tapered legs (10.25 x 5.25 x 4.5 in.); the fourth is circa 1900, stenciled armchair with black field, floral decoration (6.25 x 4.5 x 4.5 in.).

From the Estate of the late Dr. Larry Southworth, Fredericksburg, Virginia

First armchair: good condition.
Second rocking chair: break and loss at splint seat.
Third side chair: retains various names written in pencil to underside of seat; good condition.
Four armchair: good condition.
