Late 19th century, with French 8 day time and strike movement marked A.1 / 5469 / BLACK, STARR & FROST NEW YORK with Medaille D'argent Vincenti Cie 1855 stamp (Made in France), 5 1/2 in. porcelain dial with ornate scrolling ormolu hands, includes suspension spring and copper pendulum, within an ornate gilt bronze baroque scrolling acanthus form case, cupid on cloud and holding arrow surmounting, with reticulated quatrefoil panels, mounted upon a conforming diapered terrace with shell, floral and foliate cast feet.
