Each one polychrome painted with exceptionally detailed classical scenes within a gilt edged circular rim, including the "Death of Adonis" after the fresco by Luca Giordano (Italian, 1634-1705), and the other likely depicting Venus and Adonis with his hound, both paintings unsigned, the undersides impressed with an elaborate "R" probably a variation of one of the marks used by Helene Wolfson, Dresden 1880s.
