Circa 1800, faint monogram signature to lower right, the stately gent attired in blue coat, tied white stock and red stippled chemise, against a blue sky ground, presented within a gilt locket case, the verso aperture with plaited hair, within a fancy bright cut engraved bezel and dark green radial enameled foil glass surround, retains partial collectors label to verso.

Miniature 3 x 2 1/4 in.; case 4 x 2 5/8 in.
