Paris, first quarter 20th century, 2 1/8 inch main dial signed L. LEROY & Cie / PARIS, having blue steel hands to the main seconds dial and subsidiary 10 minute dial, behind glass within nickel housing, labeled "No.12" above the winding mechanism to verso, the fitted case of linen over wood, exterior lid stamped "12" in gilt, suede interior signed in gilt L. LEROY & CIE / 7 BD. DE LA MADELINE .7 / PARIS.

Instrument 1 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 in.; Case 1 3/4 x 4 x 3 5/8 in.

In 1899, Leroy & Co set up its workshops and shop at 7, Boulevard de la Madeleine, leaving the Palais-Royal after over a hundred years spent under its arcades.

Some soiling and wear to case; the clock apparently in working order.
