An excellent example of this scarce uniface note dated February 17th, 1864; the serial number 26923 is shown twice; the obverse depicts the late Stonewall Jackson, the Confederacy's 2nd National flag and its Great Seal, which features an equestrian George Washington. The reverse, usually blank, is endorsed by an "E.S. Thornton" and carries most of a Confederate Treasury palmetto handstamp.
