Circa 1820, highly figured mahogany veneers, light and dark wood inlays, poplar and white pine secondary, two part form, rectangular recessed desk, the top edge with herringbone inlay above a book-matched highly figured veneered frieze, central prospect door with inlaid tombstone flanked by two document drawers flanked by two tambour doors opening to reveal four drawers and four valanced pigeonholes, hinged writing surface with loper support and baize interior, three flush graduated drawers, lid, desk and drawers with banded veneer edge, stiles and square tapered legs with herringbone inlay.
