Circa 1775, stamped H. Wirtz to underside of one skirt rail, tulipwood, amaranth and fruitwood veneer inlays, oak secondary, rectangular hinged top with intricate floral and geometric inlays, top edges with book-matched herringbone inlays, front panel with book-matched veneers, each side with small flush pull out drawer, hinged top with green baize playing surface over horse hair and geometric inlaid border, the finished rear legs extending to reveal a playing surface with inset leather and game piece receptacles, raised on square tapered legs with applied ormolu foot.
