Attributed to the shop of Thomas Day, Caswell County, North Carolina, circa 1840, mahogany veneer, white pine secondary, rectangular swivel hinged top with book-matched veneers opening to reveal a plain playing surface, underneath with open compartment, ogee veneered skirt, stylized shaped double support base with scrolls and applied rondel, shaped base with scrolled feet on casters.
