Caswell County, North Carolina, circa 1850, mahogany veneer, yellow pine and poplar secondary, two part form, applied flared cove molded cornice with stylized egg and dart molding, two upper hinged cabinet doors with glass panels and linen fold, shelved interior, above a unique narrow paneled fall front opening to reveal eight pigeonholes, above three small side-by-side drawers, the base with hinged lid opening for writing surface with single long ogee drawer support, above two hinged paneled cabinet doors, shaped shelf interior, paneled sides, beaded molding at rounded corners, distinctive shaped bracket feet on casters.
