Second half 18th century, hand-painted within gilt floral arabesques and celestial blue surround, presented within antique carved gesso and giltwood frames with bellflower swag, the first in tondo form, charming and intricately painted scene of a young beauty feeding her tame bird amid flora urns, the verso marked with with Sevres entwined "L" over four dots indicating the artist, Pierre-Théodore Buteux (known as 'Théodore' active at Sevres 1765-80); the second, attributed to Sevres, oval form with an unidentified faded blue mark to the verso, is also painted with exceptional detail, depicts a young lad offering fruit to a maiden collecting the harvest in her apron.

Plaque sizes 8 1/8 in. diameter and 11 3/4 x 7 3/8 in.; frame sizes 15 x 15 x 1 1/4 in. and 18 x 15 x 1 1/4 in.

Porcelain in good condition, verso with some minor surface staining and old papered remnants; frames with some cracks, edge chips, and gilt losses/rubbing.
