Manner of Nathaniel Rogers (1787-1844), watercolor on ivory, unsigned, the folded paper backing pencil inscribed illegibly and signed, the handsome blue-eyed gent attired in black coat with waistcoat, tied cravat and ruffled chemise, set against sky filled background with passing clouds, presented behind glass in a period ebonized wood frame with ormolu bezel and floral hanger.

Miniature 3 x 2 1/2 in.; frame 5 3/4 x 4 7/8 in.
