Pierre Palué apprenticed under his father in the arts from a young age. During the Second World War, he joined the artillery at Vieux Brisach before being taken prisoner. He escapes with Dr. Henri Lemonon of Saint-Donat. In 1940, he followed Dr. Lemonon to Saint-Donat, who donated supplies for him to study and assist in pharmacy. He began studying drawing at Valence Art School where he became acquainted with André Lhote.

At the end of the War, Palué exhibited at the Salon des Surindépendants and the Sanzieme exhibition. From 1950-1960 he teaches classes in drawing and painting at Valence and Tournon Lycee before opening Municipal Art School in Romans. He has had great success as an artist throughout his life, traveling to paint across Europe and exhibiting paintings in galleries and museums throughout. In 1995 he published the catalogue of his works and is awarded the Order of National Merit.
