Three Japanese Carved Dragon Armchairs and Stand

Meiji period (1868-1912), including three similar dragon form armchairs with inset ivory eyes, serpentine seat with relief carved Greek key, repeating winged dragon form legs (approximately 34 x 25 x 20 in.); together with a similarly designed two tiered stand with circular Greek key top, four winged dragon supports with relief carved lower shelf (23 x 18 in. diameter).

Fair condition; old surface with rubbing to raised edges; later custom cushions; one armchair with horizontal break and repair to back and joint looseness to arms; one armchair the seat/back/arms are detached from the base and with other repairs; gouges and wear to the crest rails of the chairs; some joint looseness and surface wear throughout to the stand.
