Meiji period (1868-1912), two part form desk with asymmetrical carved cabinet with two hinged doors and one drawer, the writing surface with Greek key border, two drawers with relief carved and pierced surround, scalloped skirt on dragon form cabriole legs (52 x 38 x 25 in.); together with a similar side chair with a pierced and carved back, serpentine seat with Greek key incised border, front dragon legs (38 x 22 x 17 in.).
