Watercolor on ivory, the first depicting a British officer likely stationed in Cawnpore, India, attired in red and blue coat with white epaulettes and frogging, the interior paper backing ink inscribed "...liam Lumodivin[?]/Cawnpore 1831," presented within a later ebonized frame with gilt oval bezel (miniature 3 1/2 x 2 7/8 in., frame 6 x 5 in.); the second depicting an Austrian or German officer, unsigned, the half-length officer attired in white coat with dark green collar, mounted within a gilt bezel and mahogany frame (miniature 3 3/4 x 3 1/8 in.; frame 6 5/8 x 5 1/2 in.).
