Patinated cast bronze, signed "Frederic Remington / 1908" to the slope side, cast after the large scale commissioned piece at Fairmount Park Art Association (now the Association for Public Art) and owned by the City of Philadelphia, mounted on a polished green marble base with brass artist plaque.
