Chippendale Walnut Tall Case Clock, Riley Whiting

Late 18th century painted wood face marked "R. Whiting, Winchester" and with two subsidiary dials, wooden gears, circa 1800 American walnut case with white pine secondary, dovetailed arched hood with glazed front and side apertures (solid case with no door), hinged waist door with lipped edge flanked by canted fluted corners and lamb's tongue, plain base on French bracket feet, with pendulum and two weights.

86 x 19.5 x 11.5 in.
