Each an oil on canvas painting, circa early 20th century, one monogrammed "FBT" to lower edge, presented in giltwood frames.

Stretcher sizes 40 x 32 3/4 and 39 1/2 x 32 in.; Frame dimensions 46 x 39 and 45 3/4 x 38 1/2 in.

From the Estate of the late Mr. and Mrs. Drew Harper Jr., Grifton, North Carolina

The original works, completed during Wollaston's years traveling and working in Virginia between 1754 and 1758 currently reside in Historic Kenmore, George Washington's Ferry Farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia. They are part of Mount Vernon Collection.

Each with age cracking and minor scattered paint flakes with associated retouching; the portrait of the colonel with (2) repaired tears having associated retouching visible under UV light inspection.
