French School (circa 1800), Miniature Portraits of a Gentleman and Lady

Watercolor on ivory, unsigned, the presumed couple well-rendered against an atmospheric sky background, the handsome gent depicted in glasses with high collar, tied cravat, and dark navy coat; the beautiful lady with hair up in curls, attired in white dress with king's blue shawl; both presented behind glass in matching late gilt Rococo style frames.
