Rebound in grey leather boards with gilt ruling and gilt-titled red morocco label, all edges stained yellow, with addition of fresh endpapers. 8vo; x, 363, [1] (some pages misnumbered); [a]2 b2 B-Z8 2A6 (2A6 verso blank). This is the reissue of the first edition which was published in the same year. Rush's book was compiled from the notes he took during Philadelphia's yellow fever epidemic in 1793 which caused the death of thousands of the city's residents within just a few short months.

Sturdy boards with discoloration to leather likely due to temperature changes, along with several scratches; front fresh endpapers with areas of foxing, original endpapers with wear including writing, tears, grime, and damp staining, original first free endpaper extended; 2A6 with one tear and attached to free endpaper at inner margin; title with small tear and small loss at top left corner; overall pages toned with scattered foxing (mostly very light), waviness to paper, ink marginalia and pencil marks, faint damp staining, and occasional grime. A good copy.
