Early 19th century, tortoise shell and bone veneers with inlaid silver stringing, inlaid silver escutcheon, diminutive rectangular form with canted corners, interior with lidded single compartment retaining likely original tin lining, raised on four disc feet. Underside with old collector's label, otherwise unmarked.
