Second half 19th century, the campaign box in mahogany, inlaid brass flush handles and escutcheon, opens to a divided interior, the front compartment with lid with lower storage drawer (6 3/4 x 8 1/4 x 6 1/4 in.); the inlaid tea caddy in satinwood wood veneers, with Etruscan style figural motifs and scrollwork marquetry, opens to twin lidded compartments (4 x 8 1/4 x 5 in.). Both unmarked.

Some shrinkage cracks to veneers; campaign form with crack to front lid; tea caddy compartment lids with some warping; tea caddy interior lining is later, but retaining remnants of old lining beneath.
