The brooch designed in bark textured gold in Modernist form and asymmetrically set with round brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .48 total carat (G-H color, VS2-SI1 clarity), completed with locking double pin stem, stamped 18K and with the Preformed Parts maker's mark (2 x 1.25 in.); the matching earrings in hoop form with round brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .38 total carat (G-H color, VS2-SI1 clarity) vertically set to the center, completed with posts and hinged ear clips, stamped with the Preformed Parts maker's mark / PAT. 2423905 / 18KT (7/8 x 5/8 in.).

Preformed Parts (PP) was a jewelry manufacturer working in Pleasantville, New York in the early to mid 20th century. George Schuler was associated with Preformed Parts and was a jewelry designer as well as the patent holder for the clip backs on the earrings seen in this lot. Schuler, doing business as Preformed Parts, created pieces for notable jewelry houses including Tiffany & Co., Cartier, and McTeigue.
