Ca. late 19th century, both thick 4to, leather bound with gilt-decorated boards and raised bands on spine, edges gilt, to include: the first printed in Philadelphia by John E. Potter and Company, rear with area for family portraits. (Leather worn and rubbed with chipping at lower board, joints rubbed with cracking starting at rear joint, lacking clasps; interior with toning, offsetting, scattered foxing and areas of damp staining, remnants of ribbon bookmark laid in, cracking at front hinge; a fair to good copy.); the second, a pictorial Bible printed in St. Louis by J. H. Chambers and Co., with numerous b&w and color illustrations, rear with area for family portraits. (A fair copy only with upper board partially detached, leather rubbed, front joint with cracking starting; interior with toning, scattered foxing, and additional wear such as torn and repaired pages, losses, small areas of insect damage, and damp staining, remnants of bookmark ribbons laid in.)
