Circa 1820, watercolor on ivory, unisigned, both bust length portraits, the first of a hazel-eyed lady attired in green dress with jeweled brooch at her décolleté, curly hair with lace bonnet, inscribed to paper backing; the second of a blue-eyed gentleman attired in black jacket with frilled chemise and tied cravat, against hatched sky background. Both presented in period ebonized frames with ormolu bezel and hangers.

Miniature 3 x 2 1/4 in.; Frame dimensions 6 x 4 1/2 in.
