A Chinese Ancestor Painting on Silk

19th or 20th century, ink and colors on silk, a large and very finely painted ancestor portrait of a court gentleman dressed in a fur lined winter robe bearing an first rank civil badge with crane, seated in a fine official's chair, he displays his wealth by wearing a long bead necklace and a jewel finial to his hat, presented in a gilt wood frame under glass.

Framed dimensions 40 1/2 x 25 3/4 in.

Very good estate condition; not examined outside of the glass.
