Watercolor and bodycolor on ivory, the interior backing inscribed "Painted by / John Hopkins / 13 Ashe Terr[ace] / City Road," presented in a later Italian parcel gilt mahogany frame with mark of Fratelli Petralli Firenze.

Miniature 4 in. diameter; frame 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 1.5 in.
