Andy Warhol. THE PHILOSOPHY OF ANDY WARHOL (FROM A TO B AND BACK AGAIN). New York and London: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1975. Stated first edition; first printing. 8 9/16 x 5 5/8 in.

While relatively common signed, Warhol's book is a classic and a must-have for anyone interested in reading more about the famous artist's thoughts on love, death, art, success, and more. As Barbara Goldsmith said, "The radical esthetic and social changes of the sixties were observed first in microcosm at Warhol's Factory. What's happening in the seventies? Read this book, then fill in Andy's blanks. Some people say California is the bellwether of America. I'd say Andy Warhol." (NY Times, Sept. 14, 1975.)

Boards with corners bumped and rubbed, light scuffs and marks, and top edge browned, spine sunned, with light grime and one small stain, foxing at edges with some light spotting to interior (mostly at preliminaries), otherwise pages extremely clean and unmarked; jacket with interior stains, edge tears and chips, creasing, sticker remnants on spine, unclipped ($7.95). Good/about good dj.
