Circa 1932, woodblock print, signed Hasui together with red seal Sui to lower left corner of print, published by Doi Hangaten, presented under glass with mat in warm wood frame.

Frame dimensions 18 3/4 x 13 in.

Hasui Kawase was one of the leaders of the Shin Hanga movement in Japan. He focused on making prints that illustrated the beauty of Japan's natural landscapes with special emphasis on seasonal color and light effects of sunrise, sunset, rain and snow. He received the high honor of being named "A Living National Treasure" in 1956 for his contributions to the arts.
