Charlie Perry was the first born son of Bob Perry who was an established market hunter and commercial fisherman. Charlie joined his father in market hunting as a young teenager. This ruddy was made for their market hunting operation. New York restaurants considered ruddy ducks a delicacy and would pay a dollar a piece for them.
Old gunning paint, stable crack in neck, some wear to tip of the bill and edge of the tail.
