Harris was the father of Alvin Harris. He was also the brother of Henry Harris who made the famous Calvin Gaskill rig of shorebirds. Rig mates to this decoy are published on page 96 of Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Andresen and Philip Harvey.

Original paint with moderate gunning wear, wear to tip of the bill.
